Deliciously Ella recently took the foodie world by storm with her new cookbook and website, which are both filled with healthy and delicious plant-based recipes and tantalising photographs that promise to send the taste buds into overdrive.Between her website and her book, as well as the food column she pens for The Telegraph, the popular food blogger has been tempting even celebrities to try out her healthy lifestyle.
Deliciously Ella's blog and cookbook offer delicious plant-based recipes with beautiful photography
Singer Leona Lewis revealed last week that she is a fan of Ella's, tweeting: "Loved ur Insta post 2day @DeliciouslyElla so inspired by ur healthy outlook & beautiful honesty! Just got ur cookbook in the post".Ella is certainly an inspiration – in 2012 she was diagnosed with postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS), and after spending months in and out of hospitals, and eventually leaving with medicine and steroids, the 23-year-old began to look to her diet for help. After a day of reading, she started a plant-based diet she personally devised for herself.
Eighteen months later, and having followed the regime that saw her give up everything refined and processed, "meat, dairy, sugar, the lot", Ella now says she feels "phenomenal".She recently told The Telegraph that she has more energy, suffers less pain, and is fit, slim and toned – and no longer needs medication.
And now the former history of art student has teamed up with BeLOVeD Date Nectar, made 100% from dates to create naturally sweet date syrup that retains the benefits of the whole fruit, to create some sweet recipes that make a perfect kick-off to a healthy day.
Try Ella's date shake, pecan loaf or a date and chia seeds pudding – packed with goodness such as almond milk, buckwheat flour, dates, banana and chia seeds, and of course BeLOVeD Date Nectar.
In keeping with Ella's philosophy, BeLOVeD products are vegetarian and only sweetened by its wholesome Date Nectar, which retains key nutritional benefits and contains magnesium, manganese and copper to support the metabolism - and turn sugars into energy rather than fat. Priced from £3.99.
