David Beckham reveals his adventurous foodie side with snaps of 'interesting dish' - find out what it is

November 3, 2015

David Beckham proved he was adventurous when it comes to his body art, recently allowing his four-year-old daughter Harper to design his latest tattoo, and it seems the former footballer is also adventurous when it comes to food. The father-of-four posted a snap on Instagram on Tuesday of what he himself called an "interesting dish".The foodie photograph was in fact of cod milt, or cod fish sperm, apparently steamed and served in a bowl with what appears to be soy sauce and a side salad.

Another picture shows milt pan-fried and served as nigiri. "On to the next one," wrote the adventurous foodie. Cod milt has a light texture and subtle taste. The Japanese call it shirako, kiku, or tachi and consider it a delicacy. David is no stranger to fine dining. His and his wife’s good friend Gordon Ramsay currently holds 14 Michelin stars and the couple often dine with the famous chef and his wife Tana in both London and Stateside in LA.

In the summer, the 16-year-old shared his kitchen know-how with little sister Harper. "Making pizza with my little sister," the teenager captioned an artsy shot of the pair, which showed Harper from the back. The sweet little girl looked up at her older brother and seemed focused on the activity, while Brooklyn was snapped holding his hands up, mid-explanation. Victoria Beckham, meanwhile, tends to post pictures of superfoods including bee pollen, of which she is a fan. David has previously said of his health-conscious wife: "She loves vegetables and she loves salad."
