Rochelle Humes' attitude to dieting and Christmas

November 30, 2015

Rochelle Humes has it all. The beautiful Saturdays star is also a TV presenter, designer, happily married to handsome former JLS member Marvin Humes, and is in great shape. And the Xtra Factor host plans to spoil herself this festive season and is determined her two-year-old daughter Alaia will also have a healthy relationship with food.

"I just try and keep it all balanced and not go overboard with anything," said the 26-year-old about her Christmas diet.

The gorgeous Rochelle shares her healthy attitude to food, saying she will be "eating whatever I want to" this Christmas

Rochelle has teamed up with Make A Wish Foundation UK to judge a competition to create brand-new Christmas recipes, even creating her very own starry apple and mince pies which she has shared with HELLO! Online readers. She also revealed her attitude towards parenting a daughter and her attitude to weight: "In any walk of life, you've got a responsibility bringing up your daughter. I speak to my mum and she's always great at advice."

There are things she doesn't need to be around. I don't have scales in my house, she doesn't need to be worried about herself.

"I'm not a yo-yo dieter that's not my thing, she wouldn't be around that from me. Thankfully she's only two, so I'll cross that bridge when I come to it."

Getting into the Christmas spirt, Rochelle, who often shares her healthy dishes and treats with her fans on Instagram, has got a step ahead with her own mince pies recipe, which she has already enjoyed baking with her young daughter.

However, the songstress says she is "no Mary Berry": "I'm good at banana cake. I'm not the best baker because it's so technically accurate to do."

She also revealed that this Christmas she'll be relaxing with family, and that Marvin's chef dad will be charged with cooking and carving the turkey.

The Xtra Factor host shared a snap of her hot look this weekend

"Christmas is all about being in your Christmas pyjamas all day, well that's what it is for us anyway," she said, adding that she will be "eating whatever I want to".

Rochelle recently judged a contest to find a new festive favourite to replace Christmas cake at Westfield shopping centre in London last Saturday. The winning dessert was a chocolate log with bright fruit and chocolate buttercream icing and raised nearly £154,000 for the charity.
