Colin the Caterpillar cake's days as a bachelor bug are over now he has a new lady friend – Connie! The female version of the iconic caterpillar cake has been introduced to M&S, and sources claim that Colin and Connie have been inseparable ever since.
Connie can be set apart from Colin as instead of being green, she is pink, has big bug eyes, a bow in her hair and appears to be wearing pink lipstick.
Connie and Colin are "smitten"
A source said: "Colin has been looking for love for some time and Connie is definitely the one – he’s smitten! They make a perfect pair and seem really happy together."
Connie, who is £7 and available at M&S, just like Colin, is filled with a sponge roll covered in chocolate with strawberry flavoured buttercream and is promised to become a huge hit at parties, much like her new beau.

Colin is a well-known friend to the celebrities, and has been spotted at several parties for famous faces, including Boris Johnson and David Cameron.
He even appeared at David Beckham's latest birthday, and the retired footballer posed for a snap with the cake, captioning the snap: "As the night comes to a close I wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes I received and also this delicious caterpillar cake the kids gave me tonight..."
