Beyoncé and Jay Z have long been one of music's most popular power couples, with legions of loyal fans around the world. However a fan has taken their love for the Carters to a whole new level by opening a new restaurant in Sydney dedicated to the pair. The Carter restaurant and cocktail bar launched in Australia at the beginning of 2017, and features a number of stylistic nods to Beyoncé and Jay Z, including eye-catching murals of the couple in the downstairs lounge.

As shown on the restaurant's Instagram account, one mural shows Jay Z wearing sunglasses and smoking a cigar, while another depicts Beyoncé clutching a phone to her face with mascara-stained tears rolling down her cheeks. Meanwhile the bar room features a golden Art-Deco inspired décor that has been compared to Jay Z's 40/40 Club in New York, which is said to have similar high ceilings and contemporary gold furnishings.

Murals of the couple adorn the walls of the bar

"The Carter was inspired by New York's great architecture, food and controversial entertainment," the restaurant's manager Chady Khouzame told Australia's The Music. "Jay Z and Beyoncé have always been at the centre of controversy which is what inspired our hidden messages in artwork surrounding the bar and the murals on the wall in the basement."

Drinks have been named after a number of hip hop stars

The new venue also pays homage to a number of other cultural icons with its drinks menu, which features cocktails such as the "Obama Out", the "Kimye" and the "Snoop Lion". As for food? The menu features dishes such as fried chicken and waffles named after Barack Obama, and a sticky lamb ribs dish dedicated to hip-hop artist Nas.

While it's unclear if Beyoncé and Jay Z have been made aware of the new venue, it has already won one star's seal of approval; Rosario Dawson was spotted partying at the nightclub with comedian Eric Andre earlier in the year.
