You don't need to travel to Tokyo to enjoy Sakura season this spring; London restaurant Roka has brought a little corner of Japan to the capital with its cherry blossom pop up which opened on Thursday – and it looks incredible. Located below the Japanese eatery's Charlotte Street restaurant, the cocktail bar Shochu has been transformed into a beautiful and colourful destination where you can sip on Japanese-inspired cocktails while sitting under a canopy of cherry blossoms.

The theme is extended to the bar's menu too, with an array of Sakura-inspired cocktails such as the Kyuri Highball or Sakura Sour, which combines peach and whisky for a unique tipple. Visitors can soak up their drinks with Japanese far from the award-winning Roka restaurant upstairs which serves cuisine such as sushi and sashimi, plus Japanese robata and tempura that looks (almost) too good to eat.

With its muted pink lighting and cosy seating the pop up would make for the perfect date venue, provided you can take your eyes off your phone, that is! You will definitely want to make your Instagram friends envious with snaps of what is quite possibly the prettiest bar in London.

"There's no place in London-that-doesn't-feel-like-London you would rather be," a post said on the restaurant's Instagram feed. We couldn't agree more! The pop up runs until 7 June and continues the nation's craze for spring blooms, which has seen thousands of Instagram users share photos of the cherry blossom, wisteria and other seasonal flowers online.

STORY: Where to see beautiful flower fields and displays in the UK

Should you wish to see the spring flowers in the great outdoors there are a number of stunning flower fields and displays across Britain that are well worth a visit, such as Scotland's Brodie Castle where you can take part in a daffodil walk or the lavender fields across the UK when lavender season gets underway in the next few weeks.
