The best restaurant in the world has been named - and you won't have to travel too far to try it! The Black Swan in Oldstead, North Yorkshire, has won the top accolade in TripAdvisor's Best Restaurant awards, marking the first time a British restaurant has claimed the prize.
STORY: The Michelin Star restaurant guide has been announced
The winning venue is a family-owned pub with a restaurant run by Tommy Banks, the UK's youngest Michelin-starred chef. Dishes on offer include a £95 tasting menu that includes dishes such as lobster with onion and gooesberry, turbot with strawberries and cream or Texel lamb with turnip and mint.
The Black Swan at Oldstead has been named the best restaurant in the world
The rankings are based on customer reviews, with everything from service, food, atmosphere and value for money under scrutiny. And it's an impressive win for The Black Swan, as it is the first time it has even entered the top ten. "It's a huge honour to win this award, but what makes it really special is that it's been awarded because of feedback from our customers," Tommy said in a statement.
