Michelle Keegan has finally returned home after eight months abroad, and there was one thing she couldn't wait to do – tuck into a roast dinner with her family. The Our Girl actress shared a photo of her hearty meal on Instagram Stories on Monday evening, adding the caption: "Good to be home!!"
The 30-year-old's plate was filled with all the essentials of a traditional roast dinner, including roast potatoes, carrots, mashed potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding, with an extra plate of Yorkshires visible in the background. It's a meal she has no doubt missed during her time abroad, after spending the past eight months filming for her role in the BBC drama Our Girl in Nepal, South Africa and Malaysia.

Michelle landed home on Sunday, and was greeted at the airport by family and friends. She has since shared a video from her time filming for Our Girl 3 and said it gave her "goosebumps" watching the footage back. "What an amazing journey it has been. Being able to travel the world for 8 months doing something I love with so many talented and lovely people on and off screen makes me feel so unbelievably lucky! Thank you to everyone involved for the memories, and thank you to everyone who watches and supports the show," she captioned the video.
Another thing Michelle will surely be looking forward to is being reunited with her husband Mark Wright, who is currently working in Los Angeles for his role on the TV show Extra. Mark is also counting down the days, and shared a sweet message to his wife on Twitter at the weekend. "Done. 8 months away from home, away from loved ones, working ridiculous hours in ridiculous conditions @michkeegan you amaze me more & more every day." Mark wrote. "I'm so proud of you, words can't even explain. It's going to be the best Christmas ever!! I love you so much my little trooper x."
