Davina McCall didn't let her healthy diet slip over the Easter weekend! Rather than indulging in Easter eggs and hot cross buns, the 50-year-old prepared a nutritious breakfast for herself and her family on Easter Monday, which she said was almost too pretty to eat.
The breakfast was a fruit smoothie that was perfectly presented in a bowl, and topped with sliced banana, a sprinkle of chia and flaxseeds. "Made this for brekkie. Smoothie (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, bananas) with banana, flaxseed and chia... too pretty to eat!" Davina captioned a photo of two bowls on Instagram.

Davina's post both impressed and inspired her fans, with many asking for more details about the healthy recipe. Others questioned why she wasn't tucking into something more indulgent over the bank holiday weekend. "No chocolate?" one asked. "Looks scrumptious Davina! Hope you had a little bit of chocolate too," another commented.

The This Time Next Year presenter often shares photos of her healthy meals on social media, many of which are taken from her own cookbooks. Davina credits a sugar-free diet and regular exercise for her own incredible physique, and is currently working hard to become a qualified personal trainer. The mum-of-three has been training for her level two and three certificates in Fitness Instructing at LDN Muscle PT Academy since January, and told followers she is looking forward to adding another "string to my bow".

Of her new venture, Davina wrote on Instagram: "I love learning... the older I get... the more I realise how much more I have to learn... getting a qualification is to prove to myself what I've already learned and to open myself up to lots of future opportunities! And more learning!!!" Reiterating that she won't be quitting her daytime job any time soon, she added: "I'm not leaving telly, I'm adding another string to my bow... or another weight to my barbell."
