The sun is shining and with temperatures reaching as high as 29⁰C – the hottest April day in 70 years – we're making the most of the heatwave with al fresco picnics, garden parties and the much-anticipated first barbecue of the year. But over-cooked burgers and warm beer just aren't going to cut it; we've rounded up some of the most appetising barbecue foods, ice creams and tipples for 2018.

Barbecue season just got a whole lot better for vegans and vegetarians!
