Nutella, oh Nutella. The chocolate hazelnut spread is what dreams are made of, and now you can taste it for a living. That’s right, its parent company is looking for applications to become taste testers. If this isn’t the dream job, we don’t know what is.

Ferrero, the maestros behind Ferrero Rocher and of course Nutella, has posted an advert looking for 60 non-professionals to taste cacao, hazelnuts and chocolate products. If you haven’t got a sweet tooth, this job probably isn’t for you.

Thankfully, this job isn’t all about experience. In fact, the chocolate brand is after regular normal Joe’s to become a “sensory judge”. The only requirements are that tasters don’t have any allergies, and are able to use a computer.

It’s the first time the brand has outsourced a role like this, and we think you’ll agree, it’s the job of a lifetime. Imagine going to a wedding and being able to say ‘Oh I’m a Nutella taste tester” when asked the dreaded ‘what do you do for a living?’ question.

If you’re interested in the role, you must be prepared to move to Ferrero’s Italian headquarters in Alba which is a town in the Piedmont region of Italy. Oh, and if you need more convincing, it’s known as the white truffle capital of the world. Yum.

The chosen 60 will take a three-month course which starts in September. In the course they’ll learn the art of what being a taste-tester is all about. You’ll learn how to trust your sense of smell, taste and the ability to describe the flavours using all the correct lingo. If you pass the course you will be employed on a long-term part-time contract starting at two hours per week.
