Beer and wine advent calendars have become something of a bestseller in the past few years, and we can't think of a better way to countdown to Christmas 2023 than with a cheeky gin advent calendar.
As a gin fan, I can confirm they're a far more palatable way to get through December than a chocolate advent calendar; I've bought one for my boyfriend for the last few years, and he's loved trying the new and interesting gins included in them. Usually including a 3 or 5cl bottle behind each door, it's the perfect measurement for a single gin and tonic.
Some gin advent calendars include larger sizes, some fancy tonics but most a variety of classic gins, new flavours and festive blends - think mince pie gin or Christmas cake gin.
For me, I find it an easy way to discover a new favourite gin brand. I've discovered some smaller craft gins through a gin advent calendar that I absolutely love! And much like other novelty and beauty advent calendars, gin advent calendars do sell out, so while it might seem a little premature to buying yours, it's better to buy early than miss out.
How I chose the best gin advent calendars
Having sampled quite a few over the years and compiled this edit of the best for the last three years, I'm well versed in the world of gin advent calendars! I've included ones that are available now for pre-order, or direct order, and highlighted those that are coming soon. As well as the expensive offerings, I've found some cheaper alternatives, as well as DIY gin advent calendars that can be used year upon year.
Although I haven't been able to sample them all, I've combed verified reviews from recent years to find out what shoppers love about the advent calendars - and what they don't.
