Veganuary, which happens in the first month of the year, is a movement which seeks to inspire people to try a plant-based existence for 31 days for the benefit of the planet, animals and their own health.
Over the years, many celebrities have followed this trend including the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Ricky Gervais and Lily Cole. Meanwhile, Alex is no stranger to leading a healthy lifestyle.

Often sharing pictures from her morning jogs, the mum-of-two also tries to eat healthy foods, which she describes as "anything that comes out of the ground." Before welcoming her sons, the TV star said she had invested in a Nutribullet, so fruit-packed smoothies are likely one of her go-to breakfasts.
"I know people say fruit has lots of sugar, but it's also a natural food with lots of nutrients," she previously revealed. "I recently decided to get a Nutribullet so I could drink fruit smoothies, but it's taking a while to work out the right combinations!"
Despite her healthy attitude towards food, Alex does like to indulge with a takeaway every now and then. "I don't have a very sweet tooth, but at the weekend Charlie [her husband] and I often have a takeaway pizza or a Thai meal," she said. "I like a glass of wine, but I don't drink during the week as it makes me feel a bit tired."
