The Radio 2 Breakfast Show host and her family marked their cat Wilbur's birthday with a decadent red velvet cake, and judging by the photo she shared to Instagram, he wasn't impressed.

The grey and white long-haired cat looked furious as he was held up to the table by Zoe's son Woody. In front of him was a cake topped with white chocolate shards and three candles, perhaps to mark Wilbur's age.

"Birthday boy Wilbur wanted a @marksandspencer Colin The Caterpillar cake rather than a Naked Red Velvet Cake but he enjoyed his catnip mouse from @hassockspetcentre very much. We miss you Monkey cat," Zoe wrote, referring to her ginger cat who sadly passed away in December.

Several of Zoe's followers were inspired by her idea to celebrate a pet's birthday with a cake. "Any excuse for cake! Love it," one wrote, while a second remarked: "Happy Birthday. And a good reason for you to eat cake. He is a handsome boy."

Noting Wilbur's unimpressed glare, a third follower added: "Wilbur looks as if he would end you!"

The Radio 2 host's daughter Nelly recently enjoyed a Stranger Things birthday cake

Zoe and her family must have only just finished Nelly's birthday cake after she turned 11 in January. At the time, the doting mum treated her daughter to an epic Stranger Things creation decorated with two sets of illustrations.

The first was a daytime scene with silhouettes of the characters riding their bikes through the woods, while the second was a more sinister nighttime setting depicting the Upside Down and a monster.

Zoe captioned the Instagram photo: "Awesome & epic #strangerthings cake from @hayleys_cupcakes for our Nelly. It is delicious, I am obviously helping to demolish it... faster than expected...."
