The summer holidays are the perfect time for heading out on a family picnic, and these Disney-themed recipes from creative food blogger Grace Hall are definite crowd pleasers. Grace teamed up with digital entertainment service DisneyLife to create the recipes after their recent study which revealed the UK's favourite family picnic spots, along with the sort of food they prefer to take with them.

STORY: Top 15 activities to keep children entertained this summer

The study found that 58 per cent of parents prepare to prepare their picnics from scratch so these recipes are just the thing. Themed around Disney films and TV shows available on DisneyLife, not only are they are relatively easy to make but they are healthy too. A win-win!

Grace, who writes the Eats Amazing blog, said: "I've loved designing the picnics inspired by just some of the movies and series available on DisneyLife, which will hopefully bring that extra something special for kids to enjoy on the day too - I’m looking forward to packing one up to enjoy ourselves soon!" Click through the gallery to try her recipes, inspired by classics such as Winnie the Pooh, Beauty and the Beast and Finding Nemo

2 beauty and the beast milkshakes

If they love Beauty and the Beast

Golden Milkshakes with red roses

  • Drain 230g tinned pineapple
  • Whizz the pineapple in a blender with 3 bananas, 200g Greek yoghurt, 400ml semi skimmed milk and a few drops of yellow food colouring
  • Pour into small bottles and chill in the fridge
  • Decorate bottles with artificial roses
3 Finding Nemo satsumas

If they love Finding Nemo

Nemo Satsumas

  • Using a paring knife, score two circles 0.5cm apart into the skin around a satsuma
  • Peel away the strip of skin between them using a knife
  • Repeat on the other side of the satsuma, so you have two white bands to create the angel fish stripes
  • Score a fin shape into each side, in the skin between the bands. Peel away so they stick out
  • Glue 2 googly eyes onto one end, draw on mouth with edible marker pen
  • Cut small slice from bottom of each so they can stand up unaided
4 Winnie the pooh sandwiches

If they love Winnie the Pooh

Bee Sandwiches

  • Butter four wholemeal slices and top with four pieces of cheddar, cut into circles using a round cutter
  • Cut a large circle from six slices wholemeal and two slices white bread using a round cutter
  • Pile up bread circles and cut into four even strips
  • Butter strips and place butter side down on top of the cheddar in alternate colour stripes
  • Cut four heart shapes from a tortilla wrap and push into top of each sandwich as wings
  • Add candy eyes to finish
5 cars crudites

If they love Cars

Car Crudités

  • Top and tail two baby cucumbers and cut into 16 round 'wheel' slices
  • Attach to two baby cucumbers and two baby peppers with cocktail sticks, adding googly eyes
