Sultry star Jennifer Lopez is adding fashion designer to her rapidly expanding CV with the launch of Sweetface Fashions, a company formed to market and sell her upcoming line of clothing, J Lo.
“We are going to offer clothes that we think are wonderfully designed and will fit women of all sizes,” she said on Thursday. “So from little to voluptuous, everybody gets to be sexy.” The line of sporty urban wear including studded jeans and t-shirts will be available in US clothes shops ready for Christmas.
“Before I used to dance or sing or act in films, I was just redesigning clothes,” says J Lo. “I was always the type to cut up my t-shirts and make whatever Madonna was wearing.”
The Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer is teaming up with fashion veteran Larry Stemmerman and Andy Hilfiger, Tommy’s younger brother, to launch her new range. Stemmerman has worked with the elder Hilfiger since he opened his first local outlet in 1969.
Jennifer’s ex, Sean “P Diddy” Combs has his own successful fashion line, Sean John, which is part of his $300-million conglomerate, Bad Boy Entertainment.
