It seems that Elle Macpherson’s acting career is proceeding at a cracking pace. The antipodean model, mother and businesswoman is said to be in talks with London theatre people about appearing in a new production of The Blue Room. She is not a first-time actress though, having appeared as Joey’s room-mate Janine Lecroix in the TV series Friends.

Elle’s acting career started over a decade ago, when she appeared in Woody Allen’s flick Alice - although she probably wasn’t too stretched, as she played the part of a model. Since then she has had a supporting role in the Australian movie Sirens, for which she put on 20 lbs. She has also appeared in Batman and Robin and The Edge.

Nicknamed "The Body", the former model, who has a son, Flynn, with her partner Arkie Busson, is not the only strikingly beautiful Australian girl to take the part. Nicole Kidman was described as “pure theatrical Viagra,” by the British theatre critics when she made the role her own in 1998.
