Supermodel Cindy Crawford became a supermum for the second time on Monday, giving birth to a bouncing baby girl, Kaia Jordan, in Los Angeles. Cindy and her restaurateur husband Rande Gerber welcomed the 7lb 10oz infant, a baby sister to two-year-old son Presley Walker, to the family.
“I want a big family,” Cindy said in 1999 shortly after the birth of her son Presley. “I had 12 years of my career where I could jump on a plane at short notice and take on just about anything – so I don’t begrudge not being able to do that now… I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”
But don’t expect the former face of Revlon to give up modelling any time soon. Though she gained 30lbs during her first pregnancy, Cindy did everything she could to ensure her body would return to its heavenly shape. “All my friends were sending me stretch mark creams from all over the world,” she says. “Believe me, I was rubbing that oil in every day. Thank God it worked!”
Cindy and Rande, the owner of trendy LA celebrity haunt Sky Bar, wed in May 1998 in a romantic beach ceremony. Their first child was born in July 1999.
