These days, Gisele Bundchen’s appearances on the catwalk are limited – the Brazilian beauty “retired” from fashion shows earlier this year – but she still knows how to work the runway. The 21-year-old girlfriend of Leo DiCaprio gave a helping hand to her close friends Domenico and Stefano and appeared at their Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan on Saturday.
Sitting in the front row was none other than one of Britain’s most glamorous faces: Victoria Beckham. In a figure-hugging pinstripe suit accessorised with ropes of pearls, fishnet gloves and a trend flat cap, the singer, whose debut album Victoria Beckham is released today, watched the Italian duo’s Spring-Summer 2002 collection.
The clothes were virtually a black-free zone and encompassed every look, from traditional tailoring with a twist, which was adopted by Posh, to citrus-coloured separates in filmy chiffon. And the Spice Girl had praise indeed for Gisele, the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s ad campaigns: “I loved everything she wore – what an amazing figure that lady has.”
