French beauty Laetitia Casta gave birth to a baby girl late last Thursday night, her publicist confirms. The 23-year-old supermodel and actress welcomed baby Sahteene in Paris last week alongside her love, photographer and video director Stephane Sednaoui, and the three are said to be enjoying their very “happy event”.
No word on where the family will live – Stephane reportedly makes his home in New York – though Laetitia recently picked up a flat in trendy central London. “I bought a flat in Covent Garden,” she said last year. “I can go shopping and no one bothers me or even looks at me. In Paris, I get recognised at lot.”
The Corsican-born sensation – discovered aged 15 on the beach with her parents – recently decided to make acting her first priority and split with her long-time modelling agency Madison. Laetitia made her feature film debut in the 1999 comedy Asterix And Obelix and has since appeared in a string of films including Savage Souls opposite celebrated actor John Malkovich. And while her films haven’t always been well-received, critics have applauded Laetitia’s efforts, going so far as to dub her the new Brigitte Bardot.
