Kate Moss is the latest supermodel to try her hand in the recording studio, singing on a track by Primal Scream front man Bobby Gillespie. But, unlike her predecessors Naomi Campbell and Milla Jovovich, Kate isn’t looking to parlay her covergirl stardom into a pop career.
The Calvin Klein model takes a back seat to the Scots rocker on Diamond Blue, singing back up while Bobby provides lead vocals for the track. However, she takes centre stage in the black and white video for the song, dancing with the Loaded singer at a country house.
Fans of the waifish beauty shouldn’t bother running out to the record shops to find Diamond Blue, however. The song and the accompanying video can only be found on the internet, and Bobby’s spokesman says the track is unlikely to be released as a single. Kate reportedly joined the project as a favour to Bobby, who is a longtime pal.
