Christy Turlington relies on yoga to keep her supermodel shape, and her latest stint as a bikini-clad poster girl shows her hard work has paid off. The newly-single star, who broke off her engagement with actor-director Ed Burns last month, is featured in the latest H&M campaign, posing on the beach sporting the shop’s sexy swimwear.
The Californian beauty, who was chosen for her “sporty lifestyle and extensive charity work” was snapped by Swiss photographer Raymond Meier on Hana Maui, a black lava beach in Hawaii. Christy strikes a number of poses in the scuba-themed adverts, including one where she takes a page from the book of Bond girl Ursula Andress, bare skin glowing and diver’s weight belt strapped low across her hips.
Christy joins the growing list of celebrities who have taken part in the high-profile H&M campaigns, including Helena Christensen, Johnny Depp, Benicio del Toro and Bridget Fonda. Similar posters of fellow model Claudia Schiffer caused an uproar two years ago in Frankfurt, Germany, when hundreds of cases displaying the giant photographs were broken into by overeager fans.
