A series of one-off bandannas created by more than two dozen of the world’s top designers from Burberry to Stella McCartney will be auctioned for charity next week, with proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. And among the top models showing off the scarves in a photo campaign for the cause are Jasmine Guinness, Karen Overton and Leah Woods.
In the Teenage Cancer Trust’s Designer Bandannas Project, Karen poses with Stella McCartney’s striking creation, Jasmine wears the colourful bandanna created by East, and Leah shows off Fake London’s one-of-a-kind scarf. The gorgeous girls from Models 1 posed for the campaign at no cost, and photographer David Montgomery worked free of charge as well.
Fake London is also behind this year’s exclusive Teenage Cancer Trust bandanna, sold at retail outlets nationwide for L5. Myriad stars, including The Sugababes, Footballers’ Wives actor Daniel Schutzman, and Ronan Keating have shown their support for the cause, posing for shots while sporting the accessory. Other celebrities have sent in autographed kerchiefs, including former Steps stars Claire and H, Holly Valance and Moby.
A Designer Bandannas Exhibition began at Browns’ fashion stores on May 16, and Bandanna Week 2002 will officially kick off with the exclusive “by invitation only” auction May 23 in London at Browns’ South Molton Street store. For more information, see www.bandannaweek.com
