OUTBREAK OF GLAMOROUS PARTIES DURING N.Y. FASHION WEEK

All eyes are on New York as the city’s fashion week kicks into high gear, but not all the action is taking place on the catwalk. Supermodel Gisele made an appearance for the Marc Jacobs collection wearing a strapless Fifties-inspired dress on Tuesday, but then let her hair down in jeans at the designer’s star-studded post-show bash.

Gisele wasn’t the only supermodel on the exclusive party’s guest list – the lovely Christy Turlington was all glam in a daringly low-cut top worn with a trendy silver cross. Meanwhile, the film world was represented by at least two Oscar winners: Boys Don’t Cry star Hilary Swank, who brought husband Chad Lowe as her date, and a camouflage hat and leather-clad Benicio del Toro. And from the MTV generation, R&B heartthrob Usher made a fashionable entrance with his famous girlfriend, TLC star Chili.

While Gisele has been on the party circuit – she was also spotted at fellow Brazilian model Michelle Alves’ birthday celebrations, along with Bruce Willis and Karolina Kurkova – no word on if she’ll appear at a special Thursday night dinner for designer Zac Posen. Famous faces who are expected at the gala event include actress Natalie Portman, model Naomi Campbell and Shakespeare In Love star Gwyneth Paltrow.
