Last year the ladies put their creative talents to the test, but this year it’s the men's turn to try their hand at shoe design. With a little help from top designer Stuart Weitzman, Hollywood stars such as Antonio Banderas, Ben Stiller, Billy Crystal, Tom Hanks and Hugh Jackman have each decorated a set of stilettos which are to be auctioned off for charity next month.

Famous ladies such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Cindy Crawford and Charlize Theron were among those who put their best foot forward to help raise money for the Celebrity Breast Cancer Shoe Auction last year.

This year’s masculine efforts range from Ben Stiller’s “New York City” high heels, which come complete with taxi cab and hot dogs images, to Tom Hanks’ rocket ship creation, which pays homage to the actor’s favourite film Apollo 13. Mask Of Zorro hunk Antonio Banderas took a more romantic approach, scattering butterflies and stars across his footwear.

All the shoes are signed by each artist and can be bid for online at www.stuartweitzman.com throughout October.
