Favourite 'friend' Jennifer Aniston has found a new use for the girl-next-door looks which boosted her to stardom, heading up a modelling campaign for an Italian jewellery house.
In a series of black-and-white and colour images which have been seen all over the world except in North America, Mrs Brad Pitt exudes elegant allure and funloving freedom on behalf of Damiani, the jewellers who designed her engagement and wedding rings.
Brad had already appeared in Damiani ads before deciding to purchase the rings from them. His wife's emergence as a model, however, comes as part of the settlement of a legal dispute with the company which had soured their relationship.
The actor brought a $50 million lawsuit against Damiani over concerns that the firm used his name and fame to sell copies of the Pitts' rings. The "unfortunate misunderstanding" was settled amicably earlier this year, with Brad agreeing to design a new range of jewellery for Damiani, and his wife signing up for the 2002 ad campaign.
Damiani is Italy's top-selling jewellery designer and has a history of working with celebrities such as Chiara Mastroianni, Isabella Rossellini and Nastassja Kinski.
