More than two months after breaking her foot, expectant mum Claudia Schiffer made a hospital trip for a very different reason – a pre-natal checkup for her unborn baby.
Still wearing a cast on her foot, the supermodel, dressed in a dark fur-trimmed coat with the hood up, visited the Cromwell Hospital on Tuesday. All eyes have been on the German blonde in recent days, as her exact due date has been kept absolutely mum.
Though one of the celebrity world's hottest couples, Claudia and her husband Matthew Vaughn have kept a low profile since announcing the pregnancy in July, eight weeks after their romantic wedding in the picturesque village of Lawshall in Suffolk. However, the 31-year-old catwalk queen's injured foot and growing bump haven't kept her completely out of action – she has been spotted out and about shopping in London during the late stages of her pregnancy.
"I love keeping busy," she said in a recent interview. "I have never been the type to sit around and watch life pass me by. I much prefer embracing life and all that it has to offer."
And it looks like pretty soon there'll be a little bundle of joy for her to embrace as well.
