As the curtains closed on Milan Fashion Week on Tuesday, fashionistas the world over were taking notes on what will be the hottest looks next autumn.
And what will ultra-glam stars like Kylie Minogue, Liz Hurley and Jennifer Lopez be wearing as 2003 comes to a close? If the Milan catwalk trends are any hint, dusty rose and lime hues, satin, feathers and the ever-present little black dress – jazzed up for effect of course – are sure bets.
Sexy pop star Christina Aguilera will definitely be wearing the corsetted dresses from Versace, as the Italian designer has linked up with the singer for an upcoming campaign. The Dolce and Gabbana duo took a page out of the Versace book with their own version of the tight-fitting frock, while Roberto Cavalli, who includes J Lo among his fans, arguably out-glammed Donatella's glitzy gear with his own stunning red carpet-ready collection, entitled "Urban Haute Style".
Moschino sent the tiniest of little black dresses up the catwalk, while Pucci presented a vivid collection featuring its famous prints. The rock 'n' roll vamp prize would have to be won by Italian label Exte, which featured skin tight pieces including a pink satin trouser suit and studded hot pants.
