ELLE'S BOD DRESSES A SHOP WINDOW AS HEIDI'S VISAGE VANISHES

Elle Macpherson gave London shoppers a thrill on Wednesday, stripping down to have her body smothered in latex in the window of Selfridges.

None of the Aussie supermodel's modesty was sacrificed, however, when she had her famous figure cast for charity in conjunction with the shop's "Body Craze" promotion. An opaque strip covered the window glass, allowing admirers to see only her long legs – complete with latex-dripped stilettos provided by friend Stella McCartney – and famous face.

As Elle made her unusual appearance in the UK, fellow catwalker Heidi Klum's sexy H&M posters were disappearing in Germany. Enthusiastic fans have stolen hundreds of the model's sultry summer swimwear adverts from bus shelters in recent days.

As workers are paid overtime to replace the ads, the firm behind the campaign has offered to give away smaller posters, hoping to curtail the vandalism.

Similar incidents have been reported in the past with some of H&M's other fashionable faces. In Norway four years ago, Anna Nicole Smith advertisements were moved away from highways after being deemed "a danger to traffic" by government officials, and Claudia Schiffer posters were "lifted" from all over Paris in 2000.

Meanwhile, another scantily clad bod - this time Heidi Klum's - is also causing a stir. Fans in Germany have been stealing hundreds of posters of the model´s latest H&M ad, provoking the retailer to offer a scaled down version in an attempt to appease demand
