Helena Christensen's career will be taking a colourful new turn in her latest advertising campaign, as she teams up with another highly popular model - a certain shaggy sheepdog.
Because the 35-year-old beauty will soon be promoting "Tranquil", a new range of colours from paint company Dulux, which, for over 30 years, has used an Old English sheepdog as their symbol in both print and television advertisements.
Bringing Helena on board is quite a coup for the company, but Dulux has no intention of forgetting old loyalties. And dog-lovers everywhere can rest assured that the shaggy pooch will remain their main representative.
"Helena is promoting Dulux, but she is not our new face and the dog is certainly not being put out," said a company spokesman.
Meanwhile, Helena waxed enthusiastic over her assignment to promote the new collection, saying, "These dusty, faded, washed-out colours are so much more subtle than ordinary pastels. The most inspiring thing to me is nature, and these are the colours of the sea and the sky."
