There are fresh concerns for the health of British model Sophie Dahl after she collapsed at a party on Long Island, New York State. The 27-year-old became lightheaded upon leaving the exclusive charity bash in The Hamptons, and passed out while waiting for her limousine.
Sophie cut her legs so badly that an ambulance was called, but her actor boyfriend Daniel Baker drove her off before the paramedics arrived.
"Sophie wasn't feeling well and she fainted," explained Daniel afterwards. "She told me during dinner she was feeling really tired. She's been working on a book and she just got back from a modelling job in Texas."
"I think it might have been something she ate - she was in a bit of a panic. I looked around and she was on the ground. She wasn't drunk – Sophie barely drinks at all." Daniel also affirmed that his partner was feeling much better the following day.
The statuesque beauty first shot to fame in 1997 when her UK size 16 frame made her stand out on the runways of London and Milan. Since then her dramatic weight loss has provoked fears that her dieting has spiralled out of control. The model, who has also found success as a children's author, is now said to be a UK size 8.
