Statuesque supermodels and tall, dark, handsome hunks were among top names in style soaking up the spotlight at the British Fashion Awards on Monday night.
Best model winner Lily Cole, who has been compared to icons ranging from Botticelli's Venus to film legend Clara Bow, took the night by storm, just as she's conquered the fashion world after just 18 months in the business. The flame-haired catwalk star found herself striking a cosy pose with sexy Vanity Fair actor James Purefoy, whose smouldering looks demonstrated he's quite a hot property himself.
Meanwhile, handsome TV presenter Jamie Theakston was accompanied by his striking girlfriend, model Erin O'Connor, who was the picture of elegance in a Twenties-inspired silver gown and sleek bob hairdo.
Also honoured at the Victoria & Albert Museum gong fest were designer of the year Phoebe Philo, best menswear winner Alexander McQueen, best accessories label Mulberry, and Giles Deacon, voted favourite new designer.
