Looking remarkably fresh considering they have a baby at home, recent parents Nicolas Cage and wife Alice Kim radiated contentment as they stepped out on the town in New York. The loved-up couple - who welcomed son Kal-El into the world in October - were among the cool crowd invited to the Big Apple opening of the Fifth Avenue Versace boutique.
The lack of shuteye usually suffered by new mums didn't seem to have affected Alice, as the former sushi waitress was the epitome of glamour in a sleek LBD and killer heels. Meanwhile former wild man Nicholas faced the cameras in a snazzy grey suit with one arm tucked protectively around his leading lady.
The Face/Off star has no qualms about sharing the secret of his dapper look. His 21-year-old wife is his sartorial adviser, the Hollywood actor explained, adding: "Alice is so down-to-earth and she's made me a better man by being who she is. I'm so happy and I can honestly say that I've never felt better."
Another famous face who knows a thing or two about sleepless nights was glowing mum-of-one Kate Hudson. The actress had left Ryder, her two-year-old son with Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, safely tucked up in bed.
Also scouting out the hottest fashions were supermodel Cindy Crawford and Jennifer Lopez, who's been a Versace addict ever since her 2000 Grammy appearance in that Donatella-created navel-grazing green gown. On this occasion, however, she'd chosen a rather more demure affair in white chiffon.
