When she's not dashing about on a polo field or at the wheel of a racecar model Jodie Kidd still finds plenty of action-packed activities to keep herself busy. On Wednesday the thrill-seeking model was trying out her sea legs, standing in as a skipper during Cowes Week.
At the prestigious Isle of Wight regatta, Jodie was called upon to do the honours and launch one of the speedy vessels in competition. When the ritual's customary bubbly was substituted by a bottle of beer - in acknowledgement of Italian sponsors Peroni - she broke it across the prow with only the hint of a giggle.
Christening honours over, it was time for a quick change of clothes in preparation for a bit of nautical action. And after a childhood spent in Barbados, where sailing is a popular pastime, the leggy blonde didn't seem one bit fazed as she took to the helm.
