Summer's hottest shade isn't ready to bow out just yet. Christina Aguilera, Beyonce Knowles and Mischa Barton have been busy proving that it's still the most fashionable hue of the season as they made style statements around the globe this week.

Blonde bombshell Christina simply sizzled in her little white dress as she attended her Back To Basics album release party in New York. The sensational songstress, who loves to channel the Marilyn Monroe look, oozed glamourpuss style from top to toe in her slinky thigh-high satin number and skyscraper heels. Christina had plenty of reason to party the night away as she has also been nominated for four MTV Video Music Awards for her hit Ain't No Other Man.

Meanwhile her fellow chart-topper Beyonce was painting the town white in London. The Destiny's Child star, who was in the capital for an interview on Radio One, was the epitome of summer cool in her crisp white trouser and top combo accessorised with a striking blue and gold necklace. The Austin Powers actress will be hoping to return to London to scoop up some coveted gongs of her own at the MOBO awards which will be held there on September 20.

Over in Japan, Mischa continued her globe-trotting with a stop in Tokyo to promote The OC – the show which made her a household name. Known for her fashion savvy, the 20-year-old didn't disappoint fans in Japan as she donned an avant-garde bubble-silhouette dress – in white of course. The Brit-born beauty has just spent six days in Sydney for a series of fashion shoots and promotional appearances – reportedly earning more than $100,000 a day.
