They might be front-row regulars, but Paris and Nicky Hilton are clearly not averse to taking to the runway itself. The striking siblings turned heads at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday as they showed off their modelling credentials for funky fashion label Heatherette.

The hotel heiresses strutted their stuff on the catwalk in micro-shorts before a change of dress for the show-stopping finale in which Paris donned a butterfly-embellished dress and her sister a tuxedo-inspired cocktail number. Both are known for their love of fashion but while Paris pursues a solo singing career, it is Nicky who seems the more dedicated fashionista of the two.

She is currently following in the family tradition by setting up her own hotel brand, Nicky O, with the first opening in Miami this November. "It's a fashion hotel that's never been done before," says Nicky, "I wanted to pay tribute to fashion."

Richie Rich and Traver Rains, the design duo behind California-based Heatherette, are signed up to design one of the suites. "You won't even need to go to a club that night, you'll just want to hang out in the room and sit in a champagne bubble bath all night," says Richie of their collaboration.

The Hilton sisters are just some of the clubwear-inspired clothing line's celebrity fans. Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson recently chose a white minidress from the range when she married Kid Rock aboard a yacht in Saint Tropez.
