Models, designers, buyers and journalists from all over the world are currently descending on the British capital for this year's London Fashion Week. And even though the annual event has barely got underway, some of the UK's most stylish ladies have already managed to make their mark at the opening shows.
Rumours that Kate Moss is to design a new collection for high street giant Top Shop were fuelled when the headline-friendly supermodel took her seat in the front row for their extravaganza. The model was seen chatting enthusiastically with Philip Green, who runs the label's parent company Arcadia, at the Holland Park unveiling. And style critics are already predicting the death of low-slung jeans after the trend-setting star opted to make a statement by tucking her grey t-shirt in a pair of high-waisted denims.
It was no surprise to see Kate and Philip getting on well, as the two fashion industry heavyweights were already well known to one another. Last year the Arcadia boss paid £60,000 at a charity auction for a minute-long kiss with the Croydon-born beauty, but he later proved his gentlemanly credentials by giving the prize away to Hugh Grant's girlfriend Jemima Khan.
Also turning heads on Sunday afternoon was Sir Mick Jagger's daughter Jade, who set the flashbulbs blazing with a metallic minidress. The jewellery designer was accompanied by her daughters Amba and Assisi, both of whom followed their mum's example by choosing outfits with plunging necklines, when she turned out for a glitzy bash thrown by the company Westfield.
