Hollywood bright young things Sienna Miller and Anne Hathaway set flashbulbs popping on Wednesday in eye-catching creations as they attended the second anniversary party of British fashion label Marchesa in New York.
Sienna, who stars in the upcoming Factory Girl, was invited to host the Bergdorf Goodman bash by Marchesa design duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. And the 24-year-old style icon was, naturally, sporting one of the label's creations when she turned up at the star-studded event.
Launched in 2004, Marchesa is the hot label du jour for red carpet affairs on both sides of the Atlantic, also including Felicity Huffman, Penelope Cruz, Mischa Barton and Scarlett Johannson among its high-profile fans.
Like Sienna, Salman Rushdie's statuesque wife Padma Lakshmi was showing off her pins in an elegant cocktail number, while The Devil Wears Prada star Anne, who admits to being something of a tomboy as a little girl, delivered full-on silver screen glamour in figure-hugging scarlet gown.
Also on hand to celebrate the British label's success story were some of the fashion industry's brightest stars. Supermodels Sophie Dahl, Helena Christensen and Karolina Kurkova helped turned the affair into a catwalk event as they sashayed down the red carpet 'runway'.
