A starry roll-call of hip 20-somethings turned out for the start of New York Fashion week on Friday and to support some of the coolest names in the business. Britney Spears, who matched her newly dyed tresses with a slinky black dress, took up her front row seat at the Baby Phat show, informing reporters en route that single life is "awesome".
The mum-of-two met up with the label's model-turned-designer Kimora Lee Simmons and American Vogue's Andre Leon Talley before enjoying the runway show. She is just one of many celebrity fans to wear Kimora's high-end, hip hop fashion label. Fellow singer and Baby Phat client Alicia Keys was also showing her support at the evening extravaganza, where a black carpet was dramatically strewn with red rose petals.
Also taking in the autumn/winter fashion shows were 21-year-old Harrods heiress Camilla Al Fayed, typically stylish in a black mini-dress and aqua-marine knit-cardigan, and Alexandra Richards - daughter of Rolling Stone Keith and model Patti Hanson. Both were spotted at Saturday's Rock And Republic show - the trendy denim-based brand with which Victoria Beckham famously collaborated.
Alexandra has been steadily cementing her place in the fashion set, and there was no doubting her style credentials as she showed off her stunning figure in a cut-away top and tight jeans. Currently signed to Next Models, she's one of the 'Rockocracy' gang of covergirls and boys favoured for top ad campaigns. Both she and her sister Theodora recently worked on a Kate Moss Burberry shoot, alongside Brian Ferry's son Otis and Ronnie Wood's son Jesse.
