Bride-to-be Elizabeth Hurley was front row as her wedding dress designer, Donatella Versace, showed off her latest collection last Friday. Looking like she's already achieved the "goddess" figure she'd aimed to have for this weekend's nuptials to Indian businessman Arun Nayar, the Estee Lauder model looked radiant in a pink dress and diamonds at the Versace show.
Elizabeth was also in the Italian city to have her final fittings for the two wedding dresses good friend Donatella has designed for the two ceremonies in England and India. Her choice of designer is unsurprising, bearing in mind her history with the label. Elizabeth rocketed to fame in 1994 when she wore Gianni Versace's now legendary 'safety pin' dress to then boyfriend Hugh Grant's film premiere of Four Weddings And A Funeral. And she's been a loyal client ever since.
The covergirl and swimsuit designer will no doubt have found plenty to talk about with front-row neighbour Trudie Styler, who wore a cream Versace ball gown to her 1992 wedding to Sting. And she was full of praise for the catwalk creations which marked the tenth anniversary of Gianni's death saying: "I think Gianni would be so proud of Donatella."
The runway event closed Milan Fashion Week as the style set transfer to Paris where Stella McCartney, who is showing her latest collection in the City of Light, has weighed in on the size zero debate. Paul McCartney's 35-year-old daughter is the first British designer to cast specifically larger models in her show, and ensure none of them are smaller than a size ten.
