Some of Hollywood's most stylish young talents were providing great ideas for those looking to invest in this summer's ultimate cocktail-party frock, as they attended an arts benefit in New York this week. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Emmy Rossum and Kate Bosworth had all opted for a knee-length designer dress, covering a whole range of popular summer looks, from strapless to fun frills.
Former Buffy star Sarah, who was accompanied to the party by her husband Freddie Prinze Jr, was pretty as a picture in her purple swing dress by Paris-born designer Max Azria.
Herve Leger, meanwhile, was the chic label of choice for Superman Returns beauty Kate Bosworth, who made a vibrant impression in a hot coral number accessorised with a black clutch and heels. Like her, Poseidon actress Emmy opted for a strapless affair - shimmering in sky blue Dior by John Galliano.
