Glamour and glitz were the key notes as supermodels and actors joined Milan high society in celebrating the life of flamboyant designer-to-the-stars Gianni Versace. The tenth anniversary of his passing drew fashionable friends aplenty with Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and singer Geri Halliwell turning out for a ballet in his memory at the city's famed La Scala opera house.

Thank You, Gianni With Love, a performance devised by choreographer Maurice Bejart, a long-time collaborator and friend of the late fashion maestro, was the centrepiece of the tribute.

Given the designer's reputation for show-stopping creations, fabulous frocks were the order of the evening as famous faces turned out to support Gianni's sister and creative heir, Donatella and her family at the event.

Arriving on Rupert Everett's arm, supermodel Claudia was stunning in scarlet chiffon, while Sin City actress Jessica Alba - representing the new guard of Versace loyalists - opted for a shimmering, scoop-necked affair.
