Having just been revealed as two of the world's wealthiest models Gisele Bundchen and fellow catwalk queen Heidi Klum could be forgiven for splashing out a little. The body from Brazil, who was named modelling's top earner with an income of £16.2 million last year, built up a collection of shopping bags during a retail therapy spree in New York's trendy West Village on Thursday.
Making the most of being off-duty for the day, the 26-year-old checked out the casual, sporty collection of clothes at the James Perse store. She also picked up some items at the upmarket Yoya children's boutique, no doubt helping a friend's little one get off to a stylish start.
Meanwhile, her former Victoria's Secret colleague Heidi - who still models for the lingerie label - was in the mood for a spot of pampering at a Beverly Hills salon. The mum-of-three, who was dressed-down in comfy leggings and T-shirt, can certainly afford a new haircut after boosting her bank balance by £3.9 million in 2006.
She was placed third in Forbes' annual list of wealthiest supermodels, beaten to second place by British beauty Kate Moss.
