While most of us are preparing to stock up on winter styles as we leave the summer behind, there was a chance for forward-thinking fashion fans to get a glimpse of the looks which will be creating waves poolside next year.

Naomi Campbell led a bevvy of bathing beauties taking to the Milan runway in the 2008 spring/summer collection from Miss Bikini. And if the selection on display is anything to go by, the barely-there trikini – a bikini design with a linked front section - will be a must-have for anyone wanting to make an impression by the shore.

The limited edition collection of bikinis and cocktail dresses had been created by the Italian design duo behind Miss Bikini, Alessandra and Francesca Piacentini, for the Fashion For Relief Association, a charitable organisation founded by Naomi in 2005.

This year the initiative, which raised $1 million for the American victims of Hurricane Katrina, is to benefit the victims of the UK floods, with 150 of the catwalk creations being sold online to benefit the charity.
