The cream of US bridal fashion was represented in New York over the weekend as top local labels showed off their latest creations for the style-conscious bride on her big day.

There was something for everyone, from slinky eveningwear looks to romantic ballgown affairs. LA designer Claire Pettibone presented a collection inspired by Twenties glamour, her sensual sheath dresses the epitome of vintage chic. There was a hint of the boudoir to some of the silky creations – unsurprising considering the designer is renowned for her luxurious lingerie range.

In contrast to Claire's streamlined silhouettes, fellow LA-based fashion leader Monique Lhuillier offered va va voom volume. The woman famed for dressing celebrities such as Britney Spears and Pink on their wedding days, opted for unabashed romance with her billowing puffs of fabric and delicate tiers decorated with tiny daisies.

New York-based label to the stars Badgley Mischka also played with volume. The fashion duo's luxurious range included the ultimate fairytale satin gown as well as a glamorous mermaid-silhouette dress perfect for brides-to-be wanting to achieve that red carpet look.
