Holding your own against Heidi Klum and her über-sexy Victoria's Secret colleagues is a tall order. So for their performance at the American lingerie brand's annual fashion show – their first gig together in a decade - the Spice Girls pulled out all the stops, strutting their stuff in sensational WWII sweetheart costumes.
The vivacious routine, which took place against a backdrop of glittering lights spelling out 'Spice', went down a storm with the audience, which included Victoria Beckham's new Hollywood pal Eva Longoria.
Complete with khaki uniforms, jaunty caps and period hairdos, the girls belted out hit song Stop, before changing into Hollywood goddess gowns for new single Headlines on a stage now transformed into a stylised boudoir.
After the high-octane set, Ryan Seacrest, host of the American Idol reality show, declared: "I love Victoria. They could have done nothing and I'd have been happy".
