Chanel's leading man Karl Lagerfeld not only wowed his audience with his latest collection, he enthralled them with models who literally walked over water and a synchronised swimming display.
A host of celebrities, including Diane Kruger, Anna Kournikova, Barbara Becker and fashion icon Anna Wintour, turned out to see the 74-piece collection.
And after thrilling with a show on the Great Wall Of China last year, the designer decided to leave dry land behind this time. His latest presentation was shown on a curved catwalk over a swimming pool at Miami's luxurious art deco Raleigh Hotel.
It was a location that won praise from model-turned-actress Diane. "Everyone associates Miami with the Raleigh's kind of glamour," she said.
Dressed in an elegant yet simple navy satin mini-dress, accessorised with a summery straw hat, the Troy star would not have looked out of place on the runway herself.
Beginning with garments streaked with black, the show included several Seventies-inspired pieces, including pleated bell-bottoms and wide-brimmed hats. Striped pastel knitwear paid homage to the Eighties.
