There was a fashion show with a difference in store for guests this week at a special jewelled-themed runway presentation in London. Famous faces, including Ray Winstone's actress daughter Jamie Winstone and Pride And Prejudice's Rosamund Pike, stepped out onto a gem-encrusted red carpet when they arrived to check out the glittering, alternative outfits.
Highlights of the event - Swarovski's contribution to London Jewellery Week - included a native American-inspired outfit, a gem-incrusted skeleton, complete with sparkling 'organs', and a beaded string shift with red, orchid-style detailing.
The creations were collaborations with established designers such as Julian McDonald, plus names from outside the fashion world - most notably Iraq-born architect Zaha Hadid - all of whom had clearly let their imaginations run riot.
The outfits presented at the show go on display from June 12 at the Phillips De Pury Gallery in south west London.
