In town to launch her latest fashion collection, there was a warm welcome waiting for Kate Moss in the Big Apple this week from one of the city's most famous residents. Hollywood beauty Jennifer Lopez made a beeline for the Croydon-born model as the pair both attended a dinner to celebrate the launch of the first ever US Topshop store.
Kate and Jennifer – on bombshell form in a figure hugging white sheath dress - seemed like old friends as they chatted to each other at the event, held on eve of the inauguration of the four-storey Broadway store.
The high-profile twosome weren't the only ones setting cameras flashing. Other VIPs in attendance included actress Rosario Dawson, Jennifer's husband Marc Anthony and Blondie singer Debbie Harry. Also on hand was the British High Street retailer's billionaire owner Sir Philip Green, who was supported on the night by his wife Lady Christina and 17-year-old daughter Chloe.
Clad in a short tiered dress teamed with a tuxedo jacket, Kate was on hand to help promote her latest designs – her ninth line for the British chain. American fashion followers, many of whom have long been waiting for Topshop to reach their shores, will get a chance to get their hands on Kate's new creations from Thursday morning, when they go on sale in the new shop.
