It's not surprising Victoria Beckham looks super toned in her latest campaign for Emporio Armani. The thought of standing around in her undies apparently prompted the former Spice Girl to work extra hard to get into shape for the lingerie shoot.
"I was so excited about doing this and I worked out really hard," the mum-of-three said at the unveiling of the campaign in New York on Wednesday. "I've been doing a lot of running because... I look OK but if I am going to be taking my clothes off then I wanted to tone up a little bit! So I've worked hard to have the confidence to do it."
The pop star turned fashion designer, who was wearing Swarovski crystal-decorated leggings, a black tux jacket and skyscraper heels for the occasion, spoke in front of a 20-foot poster which clearly showed the results of her efforts.
She went on to explain that she also influenced the final image. "I like to have lots of input with the hair and makeup and the styling of it," explained the 35-year-old mum-of-three. "I wanted it to be different from the first campaign as well. I wanted a slightly stronger, more dramatic look… which is still beautiful."
Last year Victoria signed a £12 million deal with Emporio Armani – a Giorgio Armani diffusion line – which also signed her husband David Beckham to promote its menswear range.
